Mabel Blankenship Hall, age 94, passed away in Civista Hospital in LaPlata, Maryland. She had been in declining health since July of 2011.
Born on October 13, 1917 in Rugby, VA, she was a daughter of the late Carl Elmer and Emma Greer Blankenship. She was a resident of Bluewell until 1987. She lived in Franklin Tennessee for the past 25 years and was a member of the Baptist Church. She is a lifetime member of the Eastern Star Bluefield Chapter 66. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Hall; brothers, Worth Blankenship and his wife Mary and Lawrence Blankenship and his wife Betty Lou; and a grandson, Carl Edward Mitchell.

Sons: Earl C. Hall and wife Mary Lou of Waldorf, MD
George Ronnie Hall and wife Jacqualene of Lynnville, TN
Grandchildren: Connie Jean Henson, Terry Lynn Collins, Francine Hall, Robert Earl Mitchell, Kimberly Jean Mitchell and Carl Edward Mitchell.
Great-grandchildren: Michelle Ann Collins, Tamara Lynn Collins, Shannon Marie Collins, Joshua Michael Collins, Andrew Martin Mitchell, Joshua Ryan Mitchell and Hope Noel Mitchell
Honorary grandchildren: Seth Peters and Josh Peters
Nieces and nephews: Patricia Carter, David Blankenship and Larry Blankenship
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Josh Peters officiating. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Serving as pallbearers will be Rob Mitchell, Kimberly Mitchell, Francine Hall, Andrew Mitchell, Josh Mitchell, Michelle Hall, Seth Peters, Hope Mitchell and Josh Peters.
Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The Bluefield Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #66 will conduct a memorial service Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. Friends and family may also call on Friday, April 20, 2012 from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
