Ricky D. "Toby" Poore

Ricky D. (Toby) Poore, Jr. 42, of Brushfork passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 at CAMC due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Toby was born October 10, 1969 in Bluefield, and was the son of Connie Kirby Poore and the late Ricky Poore Sr. He was a member of Deliverance Temple Church and was loved by everyone. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. Currently he was employed by Professional Recovery of Route 20. Toby was blessed by his 2 children who were the love of his life. He enjoyed being a father and spending time with his son Caleb and daughter Isabella. As a special note to Caleb and Isabella never doubt the love that your father had for both of you. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister Sandy Poore, grandparents Eli and Beatrice Poore and Walter and Gladys Kirby, niece Sandy Beggs, and Uncle Larry Kirby, all of Montcalm. Survivors include his loving mother Connie Kirby Poore of Brushfork, Sister Tammy and husband Billy Stump of Spanishburg, his 2 children Caleb and Isabella Poore of Sandlick, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews who loved him dearly. Funeral services will be held at Deliverance Temple Church Monday April 9th with Rev. David Kirby and Rev. David Lusk officiating. Family and friends may visit with the family prior to services from 6:00 pm until 8:00pm. The funeral will be conducted at 8:00pm and the committal service will be Tuesday April 10th at 10:00am at Woodlawn Memorial Park. All those wishing to attend need to be at the church at 9:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be David White, Chad Blevins, Billy Stump, Shawn Lusk, Brandon Kirby, Billy Puckett, Allen Kirby, Bruce Beggs, and honorary and special friend Matt Davis.
