Lonnie Darrell Perkins

Lonnie Darrell Perkins, age 26, of Montcalm, West Virginia, left his earthly home Tuesday, March 27th, 2012. He was greatly loved by everyone who knew him. Born December 15th, 1985 in Bluefield, West Virginia to Lonnie Herrell Perkins and Leeta Quillian Collins; he had a lifetime battle with juvenile diabetes. He had a love of football, pit-bulls, and fast cars that was second to none. He had been a lifelong resident of Montcalm and attended the Montcalm United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by stepfather Franklin Dale Collins, special friend Ashley Dawn Trump, beloved pit-bull, Koola Perkins and paternal grandfather Lonnie Perkins. Darrell is survived by his two children, Darrell Christopher, 6, and Allayla Michelle, 4, of Montcalm; survivors also include his mother, Leeta Quillian Collins, sister, Casey Perkins, and maternal grandparents Arthur and Macil Quillian, all of Montcalm. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also survive this young man. Darrell was more than a cousin, more than a friend; he was a brother to those he became close to. He is also survived by father, Lonnie Perkins, and paternal grandmother Mary Cleveland. Two step-brothers Chris Collins and Family of Burke Mountain McDowell Co., WV and Eric Collins of McDowell Co., WV. Funeral service will be held for Lonnie on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV with Rev. Roger Collins officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV where friends and family will sever as pallbearers.
