Beatrice Lorraine Gearheart

Beatrice Lorraine Gearheart, age 88, of Route 4 Box 174, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born on March 24, 1923 in Keystone, she was a daughter of the late Roland and Katherine Harman Collins. She had been a resident of Bluefield for 12 years, was of the Christian faith and was a retired store clerk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Gearheart; a daughter, Wanda Gearheart Weihbrecht; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Survivors include: 3 sons: John Gearheart, Jr. of Bluefield Acie Gearheart of Bluefield Charles Gearheart of Bluefield, VA 3 daughters: Patricia Foster of Alexandria, VA Sharon Sowell of Bluefield Betty Brown Gearheart of Bluefield 18 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. 1 brother: Charles Collins of Miami, FL Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. James Bassett officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
