Cartha Adeline Crabtree

Cartha Adeline Dunford Crabtree, 90, of Rt. 3 Box 620 Bluefield, West Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the home of her daughter where she had made her home for the past two years while surrounded by her loving family. Cartha was born on Friday, July 29, 1921 in McComas, West Virginia to the late Alfred Gaston Dunford and Minnie Blankenship Dunford. Mrs. Crabtree had been a resident of Mercer County, West Virginia for her entire adult life and was a member of the Bluefield Virginia Church of God. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kyle Edger Crabtree, two sons Edgar Ray and Richard Allen Crabtree, one brother Roy Randolph Dunford and two sisters Virgie Kinzer and Margaret Irene Pizzini. Left to cherish her memory is: Three Sons: Roger Dale and wife Becky Crabtree of Lindside, West Virginia Charles and wife Debbie Crabtree of Bluefield, Virginia Roy “Rocky” and wife Dorothy “Louise” Crabtree of Princeton, West Virginia Three Daughters: Mildred and husband Ronald Hartwell of Bluefield, West Virginia Barbara Frost of Princeton, West Virginia Loretta and husband Cecil Call of Bluewell, West Virginia 23 Grandchildren, 54 Great Grandchildren and 14 Great-Great Grandchildren Funeral service will be held for Mrs. Crabtree on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, West Virginia where the Ministers Tony Ellis and James Davidson will officiate the service. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum in Bluewell where her grandchildren will be serving as pallbearers.
