Robert "Frog" Lockett

Robert “Frog” Lockett, age 64, of Essex Street, Bluefield, WV died on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield. Born on January 19, 1948 in Fredericksburg, VA, he was raised by his grandparents, the late Gilbert Walton and Laura Bell Cox. He had been a Bluefield resident his entire life and was employed at American Vending Company. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Matilda Lockett; brothers, Jimmie, Hershel, G., Buddy, and Arnold Cox; and sisters, Dolly Gillie, Helen Yost, and Mable Pennington. Survivors: Ex-Wife: Mary Lockett of Bluefield Sons: Eddie Lockett and wife Karen of Bluefield Tim Lockett and wife Elizabeth of Nemours Brett Lockett of the home Daughter: Beth Blankenship and husband David of Bluefield Sisters: Francis Taylor and husband Vernon Barbara Dalton and husband Elwood Kay Burkhart and husband Glen Brenda Pruitt Grandchildren: Courtney, Austin, Amber, Travis and Tyler Lockett and Kiersten Blankenship Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Jim Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Pallbearers will be Daniel Grubb, Matt Cox, Randy White, Mark Dalton, Benny Dalton, and Randy Hughes. Friends may call on Sunday evening from 6-9 PM at the funeral home.
