James Russell Hagerman

James Russell Hagerman, age 37, of 116 Moore Street (PO Box 335), Pocahontas, VA, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Welch Community Hospital. Born on May 6, 1974 in Welch, he was a son of Larry E. Hagerman, Sr. of Falls Mills, VA and Lois Phillips Clapsaddle of Gary. He had been a lifelong resident of Tazewell County and attended the Living Water Fellowship in Midway. He was an electrician in the mining industry. He loved to sing, play the guitar and was a member of the Hagerman Family Gospel Singers. He also enjoyed and loved horses. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Arthur Joshua Hagerman; and maternal grandparents, Eli and Juanita Phillips. Survivors include: Father : Larry E. Hagerman and stepmother Kathy of Falls Mills, VA Mother: Lois Phillips Clapsaddle of Gary Wife: Tina Williams Hagerman of Pocahontas, VA Son: Joshua James Hagerman of Pocahontas, VA Daughter: Jessica Danielle Hagerman of Pocahontas, VA Stepson: Justin Childress of Pocahontas, VA 4 brothers: Larry “Buck” Hagerman, Jr. and wife Monica of Falls Mills, VA David Hagerman and wife Kari of Bluefield, VA Michael Hagerman and wife Tiffany of Bluefield, VA Bartholomew “Bart” Hagerman of Falls Mills, VA 2 sisters: Christine Ann Scott and Kevin of Springville, VA Natally Katherine Hagerman of Bluefield, VA Stepbrothers: Chris Cregger of Bland, VA Curtis Cregger and wife Tammy of Bluefield, VA Stepsister: Angela Cregger of Abbs Valley, VA 10 nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Living Water Fellowship, 417 Old Bramwell Road (Midway), Bluefield, WV, with his brother, Pastor Larry “Buck” Hagerman, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Hagerman Family Cemetery in Mudfork with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Sunday, prior to services, from 11:00-1:00 at the church.
