Larry Paul Woodie

Larry Paul Woodie, age 45, of Haggard MHP Lot 2 (PO Box 844), Brushfork, WV, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at a Bluefield hospital. Born on October 4, 1966 in Bluefield, he was a son of Paul Allen Woodie of Bluefield and the late Mary Sears Woodie. He had been a resident of the Bluefield area for most of his life. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Woodie Lovern; aunt, Ruby Spence; uncle, Roy Woodie; twin brother, Jerry Woodie; and a grandson, Brent Tiller. Survivors in addition to his father include: Wife: Linda Hampton Woodie of the home 4 daughters: Mary Mullins of Laken, WV Christina Bryant of Bluefield, WV Sissy Woodie of Keystone,WV Lisa Woodie of Beckley, WV Brothers: Johnny Woodie and wife Peggy of Brushfork Robert Woodie and companion Melissa Thompson of Brushfork Sister: Lisa Woodie Brown and husband Roger of Union Hall, VA Son-in-Law: Carlos Rose of Keystone,WV Sister and Brother in laws: Shelby Woodie of Falls Mills, VA Stuart Hampton of Falls Mills, VA Lena and Benny Phillips of Green Valley Cindy Meadows and Billy Goodwin of Bluefield, VA Thomas and Ronda Meadows of Green Valley 3 grandchildren: Kenneth Ratcliff of Bluefield Jasman and Chloe Tiller of Montcalm Several nieces and nephews Funeral services for Mr. Woodie will be conducted Friday February 3, 2012 at 11:00 A.M at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Koen officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00-11:00 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. Honoring his wishes, he will be cremated.
