John Wesley Rollins, Jr.

John Wesley “River John” Rollins, Jr., age 63, of Route 3 Box 302, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born on October 19, 1948 in Red House, WV, he was a son of the late John Wesley Rollins, Sr. and Opal Lovejay Rollins. He had been a resident of River Road for 32 years and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred L. Rose Rollins; 2 brothers, Harold and Leroy Rollins; and a great grandchild, James Allen Cantrell. Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Patty Lester and Thomas of Thomasville, NC Christine Steidley and Larry of Princeton, WV 5 grandchildren: Billy Cantrell, Casey Cantrell, Carrie Cantrell, Brandon Steidley and Kaitlyn Steidley 3 Great Grandchildren: Zoey Cantrell, Logan Cantrell, Ravenne Burnside 2 sisters: Lillian Wysong of Hurricane, WV Shirley Douglas and Archie of Red House, WV Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. David Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Rev. David Kirby officiating.
