Alfred Hopkins

Alfred Hopkins, age 80, of PO Box 263, Montcalm, WV, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at his home. Born on January 31, 1931 in Montcalm, he was a son of the late Ermon and Ada Alice Clark Hopkins. He had been a resident of Montcalm for 80 years and was a retired motor winder from National Coil. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sisters, Zetty Hendrick, Madeline Paterno; and brothers, Harvey and Ermon Hopkins. Survivors include: 1 son: Alfred Douglas Hopkins and Kathryn of Mauldin, SC 1 daughter: Sandra Kay Clark and Richard of East Bend, NC 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild 1 brother: Fred Hopkins and Diane of Streamwood, IL 1 sister: Ann Curran and Lynch A. of Milton, WI Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where military honors will be performed by the US Navy Honor Guard. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
