CLEVELAND, Tenn. — Carol Jean Gardner, 77, of 1121 Hilltop Drive, Cleveland, Tenn., formerly of Bluewell, W.Va., died at Memorial Hospital Chattanooga, Tenn. on Saturday, December 24. Carol was born January 22, 1934 in Duhring, W.Va. She was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Wall Hurst. She was a resident of Cleveland, Tenn. for the past ten years, and she was a retired factory worker.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Geneva Ellison; and one brother, William (Bill) Hurst. She is survived by two daughters, Kim Ochoa husband Daniel of Cleveland, Tenn., Linda Gardner of Cleveland, Tenn.; one son, John Gardner and wife Aurora of Georgetown, Tenn.; and one sister, Barbara Cox of Bartow, Fla.
Graveside rights will be held on Monday, December 26, 2011 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 2:30 p.m. with Speaker Ronnie Smith. Friends may call on Monday from 1:30-2:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. Those attending the graveside services are requested to meet at the funeral home by 2:00 p.m.
