Sadie Mullins Reeves Sexton

WASHINGTON, MD---Sadie Mullins Reeves Sexton, age 102, of Ft. Washington, MD formerly of Roderfield, Havaco, and Bluewell, WV passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 in Ft. Washington, MD Born September 27, 1909 in Wyoming Co. WV, She was a daughter of the late Matilda Wyatt Belcher Mullins and Solomon Mullins. Mrs. Sexton was a resident of Maryland since 1975 and was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her first husband Tom Reeves and two sons, Howard and James, her second husband, Arthur Preston Sexton, one stepdaughter, Nettie Staley, and stepson, J.R. Buck Sexton,11 half brothers and 9 half sisters. Survivors include, two sons, Samuel Franklin Reeves and wife Doris of Alexandria VA Tom Paul Reeves and wife Margaret of St. Petersburg, FL Two daughters, Emily Reeves Buck and husband Joe of Ft. Washington, MD Juanita Virginia Reeves Sims and husband Melvin of Port Orange FL Three stepdaughters, Marie Cunningham of Bristol, VA , Viola Daugherty of North Wilkesboro, NC, and Virginia Means of The Colony, TX. 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV with Elder Alvin Belcher officiating. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell, WV.
