Sarah Gay Williams-Thomas

Sarah Gay Williams-Thomas, 52, of Rt.1 Box 8 Bramwell WV formerly of Lasley St. Lebanon VA, entered into Heaven on Thursday, December 22,2011 with her family surrrounding her, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born July 19, 1959 in Frankfort, KY to parents Ella Dotson Williams and the late Edward L. Williams Jr. She graduated from Bramwell High School class of 1977. She attended Bramwell Baptist Church. She formerly worked at Burger Chef of Bluefield WV, K&G of Lebanon VA, Russell Co. Head Start as a bus driver, and was working as the assistant store manager at Fast Mart in Hansonville, VA until the time of her illness. She was a hard working person who loved her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Edward L. Williams Jr., a granddaughter Mary LeAnn Latocha, and numerous other family members. Those left to cherish her memory are: Her Mother Ella Dotson Williams of Bramwell WV, whom she spent her final days with. Daughter Kristy L. Williams-Latocha and husband John of Princeton WV. Son Matthew C. Thomas of Lebanon VA. Daughter Sabrina L. Thomas of Lebanon VA. Sister Evelyn "Sis" Williams of Bramwell WV. Brothers Edward L. Williams and wife Barbara of Pilot Mountain NC and Keith Williams of Bramwell WV. Two Grand-daughters whom she loved very much, MaKayla J. Latocha of Princeton WV and Samantha L. Thomas of Lebanon VA. Nephew Cade Williams of Pilot Mountain NC and Niece Megan Motley of Raleigh NC. As well as several Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 26, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell WV with Rev. David Kirby officiating. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow with graveside services on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Grandview Memory gardens, Route 460, Bluefield, VA with Rev. Jim Davidson officiating. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend graveside services are asked to meet on Tuesday by 9:30 at the funeral home.
