BLUEFIELD — Thelma Francis Gilley Davidson, age 90, of Rt. 4, Box 337 Bluefield, W.Va., died on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown, S.C. Born on May 22, 1921 in Goodwill, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late James C. and Sadie M. Carver Gilley. She had lived in Bluefield for the past 28 years and was a member of the Assembly of God church. She was a retired seamstress and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Reverend Roy H. Davidson; a son-in-law, Cammie Harman Jr.; a grandson, Daniel E. Harman; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna Martin and husband Daniel Martin Jr. of Georgetown, S.C., Patricia Harman of Jacksonville, Fla.; brother, Kenneth Gilley and wife Faye of Princeton, W.Va.; sisters, Marsha Grimm and husband Joe of North Carolina, Jane Yost of North Carolina; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with the Reverend Charles Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Serving as pallbearers will be Darrell Martin Jr., Darrell Martin Sr., Devin Martin, Jeffrey Harman, Lee Gilley, James Aust, and Brad Venters.
