Billy Winfrey Blevins, age 81, of Route 3 Box 453, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the home of his son Jeffery Blevins in King, NC.
Born on April 17, 1930 in Coalwood, he was a son of the late W.C. and Mary Winfrey Blevins. He had been a resident of Mercer County for 73 years and was a member of the Bluewell United Methodist Church. He was retired from Coca-Cola Bottling. He started there at age 17 as a driver and retired as plant manager at the age of 63. He was the number one fan for all athletes and sports at Montcalm High School. He was a member of the Bluefield Moose Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Blevins; and two sisters, Nancy and Betty Foster.

4 sisters: Brabara Ann Blevins of Rt. 3, Bluefield
Grace Conley of Rt. 3, Bluefield
Edith Ratcliff of Rt. 5, Bluewell
Norma Smith of VA
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Bluewell United Methodist Church in Bluewell with Rev. Steve Rector officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.
