Ernest E. Peraldo, age 100, of Bluefield, VA died Friday December 2, 2011 at Princeton Health Care Center. Born on June 16, 1911 in Gilliam, WV, he was the son of the late Augustus E. “Gus” and Edith Hawley Peraldo. He was a retired conductor for the Norfolk & Western Railroad and a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen. He was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bluefield as well as the Order of the Sons of Italy in America, Lodge # 2631. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, William, Herbert, and Leon Peraldo; and a sister, Mrs. Louise P. Montgomery. Survivors: Wife: Elsie B. Peraldo of Bluefield, VA Son: Roger Peraldo and wife Emma June of Charlottesville, VA Daughter: Rhonda L. Peraldo of Boynton Beach, FL Stepson: Glenn T. Dudley of Bluefield, VA Stepdaughters: Mrs. Martha Garian and husband Robert of Richmond, VA Mrs. Rita Lee and husband Dr. Tim Lee of Winston-Salem, NC Mrs. Diane Gleichauf and husband Joe of Dammeron Valley, UT Brother-in-Law: Harry A. Montgomery of Princeton, WV Sister-in-Law: Mrs. Lynn Peraldo of Manhattan Beach, CA A special devoted sister-in-law: Mrs. Sylvia Burton of Princeton, WV 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Dr. Don Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may call on Monday morning from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 401 College Avenue, Bluefield, WV 24701.
