April Davenport Finley

April Davenport Finley, age 70, of 303 Powerhouse Road, Switchback, WV died on Friday, November 11, 2011 at her home. Born on April 26, 1941 in Switchback, she was a daughter of the late Fred Hill Rouse Sr. and Margaret G. Earl Rouse. She had lived in Switchback her entire life and was a member of the Church of God. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was dearly loved by her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Finley, 2 brothers, a sister and a great-grandchild, Natalie. Survivors include: Daughter: Margaret A. Finley of the home Brother: Ronald Rouse of Grafton, WV Sister: Frances Rouse of Grafton, WV Grandchildren: Elizabeth Thompson and husband Andrew of Oklahoma Matthew Finley and wife Kayla of Bluefield Katie Finley of Switchback Megan Finley of Eckman Karrina Finley of Switchback Great-Grandchild: Madison Fowler of Switchback Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Kenneth Abram officiating. Burial will follow at on Monday at 10:00 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Pallbearers include Michael Comer, Matt Finley, Joe Broomfield, Johnny Broomfield, Robert Booker, James Fowler, Jr., and Shannon Brewster. Friends may call on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 – 2:00 prior to the service.
