Fred Walter Poff 82 of Bluewell, West Virginia passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at The Maples Nursing and Rehab Center in Bluefield, West Virginia. Fred was born on October 21, 1929 in McDowell County, West Virginia to the late Charles Hugh Poff and Ollie Poff Poff. Mr. Poff had lived in Bluewell since 1954 and was a member of the Bluewell United Methodist Church. He Graduated from Northfork High School in 1948. He then went on to serve his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. After returning home Fred worked and retired as a Route salesman for Coppinger and Eimco. In addition to his parents Fred was preceded in death by two sisters and Three Brothers

One Brother: Edward Poff and wife Stella of Bluewell, West Virginia

Funeral services will be held for Mr. Poff on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia with Rev. Stephen Rector and Rev. D. Homer Stewart officiating the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, West Virginia with Friends and family serving as pallbearers. The West Virginia Honor Guard will be conducting Military Graveside Rites.
Friends and family can call at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
