Thomas Lee “Tommy” White, age 65, of Route 3 Box 206, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Born on March 30, 1946 in Bluefield, he was a son of the late Robert Lee and Frances Cook White. He had been a resident of Route 3, Bluefield for 11 years and was of the Protestant faith. He was a graduate of Bramwell High School and was a retired coal miner and was a member of the UMWA. He had retired from CONSOL with 20 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed farming, gardening, working and caring for his cattle. He loved mechanic work which included working on his cars, trucks and tractors.

Sisters: Judy White Ward of Goldsboro, NC
Theresa (Terri) White Wallace and husband Rev. Bill Wallace of Goldsboro, NC
Nieces and nephews: Bill Stowers, Paul Duncan, Melinda Mitchem, Maryann Love, Doranna Tibble, and Steven Ward.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Stephen Rector and Rev. Larry Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
