Matthew Thomas Garrett

Matthew Thomas Garrett, age 33, of 218 Meadow Lane Loop Lot #3, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at his residence. Born on August 12, 1978 in Bluefield, he was a son of Larry R. and Arleen Hinegar Garrett of Route 5, Bluefield. He had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield and was a member of the Brushfork Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Bluefield High School and formerly worked in sales at State Electric. He loved his Pontiac Firebird, video games, and the Oakland Raiders. Survivors include: Parents: Larry R. and Arleen Hinegar Garrett of Route 5, Bluefield Sister: April Ann Garrett of Bluefield Maternal Grandmother: Ruby Louise Hinegar of Bluefield Special Brother in Law: David Crockett, Jr. of Bluefield Special niece whom he loved to give bear hugs to: Haylee Crockett of Bluefield and a host of aunts and uncles whom he dearly loved. In keeping with Matthew’s wishes, he will be cremated. Friends may on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 6-8PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell.
