BLUEFIELD, WV---Kevin Scott Thomas, age 40, of RT 2 Box 381-A Bluefield, WV passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Princeton Community Hospital from Cardio respiratory Arrest. Born August 9, 1971 at Bluefield, WV he was the son of Carolyn Bailey Neal of RT 2 Bluefield, WV and the late Robert Scott Thomas. Mr. Scott had been a resident of the Bluefield area for the past 15 years. He was a construction worker, formerly working for Frye Roofing, Shoney’s, Omelet Spot, and tutors Biscuit World. He was of the Protestant Faith. In addition to his Father, he was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Betty Thomas; Grandfather, Clifford “Tip” Bailey; and Great uncle Ronnie Thomas In addition to his Mother he was survived by, His Step-father, Warren Neal of Bluefield, WV Grandfather, Donald Thomas of Durhing, WV Grandmother, Clara Sells of Durhing, WV Two sons, Corey Mitchem and wife Heather of Salem, VA Stephen Thomas and partner Jessica Eades of Pocahontas, VA One Brother, Cole Thomas of North Carolina. Three Step-sisters, Lisa Lester of Bluefield, WV, Melissa Hatfield of Green Valley, WV, and Kara Burnett of Bluewell, WV. Three Uncles, Greg Thomas of Durhing, WV, Chucky Thomas and wife Sue of Narrows, VA, and Donald “Jess” Bailey and wife Kim of Rock, WV Two grandchildren, Michael Blake Mitchem and Leah Rose Thomas Great-aunt, Alice Thomas of Durhing, WV Two, Nieces, Erika and Michala Bailey Numerous cousins. Funeral services will held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV with Minister Frank Watkins officiating. Burial will be conducted at Bailey Cemetery at Goodwill, WV at a later date. Friends may call Tuesday, October 11, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until time of services at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
