Bluefield- Elizabeth W. Hall, 88, of Lorton Lick Road, Bluefield, WV, died Thursday morning, October 6, 2011 at Harmony House in Lerona, WV. She was born June 23, 1923 at Montcalm, WV to the late Andrew and Elizabeth Owens White.
She was a retired school teacher of 41 years teaching at Montcalm Elementary for the last 25 years before her retirement. She graduated from Bramwell High School and Concord College. She was a member of the Montcalm Methodist Church, Eastern Star, Charter Member of Alpha Epsilon Sorority of Alpha Delta Kappa. She was an International Traveler having visited 21 countries, all 50 states and was on 6 continents.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Ralph W. Hall , as well as 13 brothers and sisters. She is survived by a son; Norman Hall and wife Paula with whom she made her home. Daughter, Joyce “Joy” Armstrong and husband Tom, all of Princeton, WV. Brother, Ernest White and wife Betty of Bridgeville, PA. Sister-in-Laws; Juanita Curran and husband Wesley, and Margaret Ann Harold, Grandsons; Lewayne and Eric Armstrong, a granddaughter; Cindy Hall ,Great Grandchildren; Craig and Meaghan Barton, and Brandon and Kaylee Hall, as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews who are left to cherish her memory.
Funeral services will be held Saturday October 8, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV with the Pastor David Ratcliff officiating. Internment will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bluewell. Friends may call at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. A memorial service will be conducted by the Bluefield Order of Eastern Star Chapter #66 at the funeral home Friday October 7, 2011 at 7:30 P.M. Pallbears will be friends and family members.
