Carolyn B. Taylor, age 64, of 1215 Frederick Avenue, Pulaski, VA passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg, VA. Born on March 10, 1947 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late R. E. (Ray) and Nell Margaret Harlow Barnett. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church in Pulaski. She had been a resident of Pulaski for 25 years. Survivors include: Husband: Ernie Lee Taylor of the home 2 sons: Mark Edwards and wife Vanessa of CA Steve Taylor and wife Tracy of Princeton 3 Daughters: Diana Cooley and husband Ricky of Greenville, TN Linda Cooper and husband Shannon of Greenville, TN Lisa Smith and husband Blair of Iron Gate, VA 6 grandchildren: Justus Cooley, Angela Presley, Kristin Smith, Kaitlyn Smith, Ethan Cooper, Sarah Cooper 1 great grandson: Bennett Presley 3 brothers: David Barnett and wife Burwell of Little Rock, AR R.E. “Bud” Barnett and wife Janie of Bland, VA Richard Barnett and wife Sarah of Albemarle, NC 4 sisters: Mrs. James (Ruth) Eddy of Chesapeake, VA Mrs. Arnold (Joan) Day of Kansas City, MO Mrs. Bill (Shirley) Crockett of Bluefield Mrs. Bob (Lois) Surface of Catharpin, VA Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the Memorial Baptist Church, 995 Peppers Ferry Road, Pulaski, VA with Pastor David Lones officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 1:00-3:00 PM at the church. Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 2:00PM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may call from 12:00-1:30 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Baptist Church, 995 Peppers Ferry Road, Pulaski, VA 24301.
