Linda Leah Mullins Scarberry, age 48, of Tabernacle Hill, Montcalm, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Bowman Gray Baptist Hospital following a long illness.
Born on December 29, 1964 in Welch she was a daughter of the late Hubert Mullins and Dorothy Mullins Campbell.
She had worked in the furniture industry for all of her life and worked for Hickory White in Hickory, NC. She was a McDowell county girl and graduated from Big Creek High School in 1981. She was also a cosmetologist for some of her life until moving to Hickory. She was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives. She attended the Deliverance Temple in Brushfork.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Ulysses Mullins; a sister, Cathy Christian, and a brother in law, Ernie Christian.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Larry Roberts officiating. Friends may call prior to the services, from 5:00-7:00 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at the Rockbridge Hagerman Family Cemetery in Bradshaw on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 12:00 Noon.
