Louessie Ellen “RED” Sexton of Springville, VA died and went to be with the Lord on August 13, 2011 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
She was born January 7, 1926 in North Scituate, RI to the late Franklin and Anita Cameron. She is preceded in death by sisters Adelia Potter and Vera Adams and brothers Byron, Charles, Earl, and Nelson Cameron, one daughter Carol Norene Sexton and one grandson, Kenneth Paul Sexton Jr.
Survived by her husband of 68 years William C. “RAY” Sexton and children Kenneth Paul of Galana, MO, William C. “Bill” of Princeton, WV, Alan B. and wife Debi of Princeton, WV, Mason S. and wife Joy of Brevard, NC, Marlene “Molly” Robinson and husband Gale of Bramwell, WV, and twin sister Louise Helen Brockwell of Petersburg, VA. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren; Jeff and wife Tina, Brett and wife Jennifer, Lori, Bart and wife Heather, Michelle, Tracy Trexler and husband Chad, Nikki Hodges and husband Andrew, Joey and wife Courtney, Josh and wife Whitney, Cameron, Catherine, Hannah, Micah, Susannah, Zachary, Christian, and 16 great-grandchildren; Billy, Sabrina, Sean, Daniel, Nathanial, Brett, Laura, Michael, Mahala, Olivia, Khiana, Eben, Kynzie, Stormy, Thomas, and Dominick.
Friends may visit with family at Craven-Shires in Bluewell, WV from 2pm-4pm on Monday, August 15, 2011 and the funeral will immediately follow at 4:00PM. Rev. Chuck Trenet will officiate. The burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV. Pallbearers are Andrew Hodges, Chad Trexler, Jeff Sexton, Billy Sexton, Joey Sexton, Josh Sexton, Cameron Sexton, and Micah Sexton.
