Lois Ruby Dunford

Lois Ruby Dunford, age 98, of the Mercer Nursing and Rehab Center in Bluefield, and formerly of Princeton, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2011. Born on February 17, 1913 in Montcalm, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Virginia Louvicie Harris Crabtree. She had been a former resident of Princeton for 40 years and was of the Baptist faith. She was raised in Bramwell and went to Bramwell Schools and attended the Pilgrims Holiness Church and later the Freewill Baptist Church and Shields Chapel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin H. Dunford; 3 sisters and 3 brothers; and Stewart Keith Lusk, whom she loved as her own. She was the last surviving member of her family. Survivors include: Daughters: Bertha V. Reed of Princeton Sandra Whitmer of Delta, PA 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. David Barnette officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
