Edward Nelson Rebuck

Edward Nelson Rebuck, age 71, 204 Sagebrush Drive, Princeton, WV died on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at his home. Born on September 19, 1939 in Powhatan, WV, he was a son of the late Wallace and Josephine Langford Rebuck. He was a graduate of Bluefield High School. He was retired from the Bluefield Area Transit System as a bus driver with 45 years of service. He was awarded the Driver of the Month in 1994 and the Driver of the Year in 2004. He was a very active member of the First Church of God in Princeton as well as the community. Survivors: Wife of 45 years: Nira Gail Compton Rebuck of the home Sister: Nancy Gillespie of Bland, VA Brother: John Rebuck of Eatonton, GA Nephews: Allen Rebuck of Atlanta, GA John Wallace Rebuck of Charlotte, NC Ike Gillespie of Bassett, VA Niece: Jessica Rebuck of Atlanta, GA Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Paul Stokes officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Pallbearers will be Johnny Odhum, Barry Wagner, Tony Wagner, Robert Green, Shelby Blankenship, and Sam Depue.Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
