Mrs Tamela G. Oiler, 52 , wife of Raymond Oiler lost her courageous battle with colon cancer Sunday morning July 24, 2011 at her home at 601 Union St. in Bluefield, WV, surrounded by her loving family. Born Dec. 3, 1958 in Bluefield she was the daughter of Violet Gilpin Peery Ballard and the late James G. Peery and step father the late William Ballard. She was also preceded in death by her Grandparents John and Cloa Gilpin and Vada and Hayden Peery and her Uncle Kenneth Gilpin. Survivors other than her husband and mother are two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Carrie) Perkins of Montcalm and Mrs. Joseph (Marlena) Neil of Bluefield. Seven Grandchildren Anthony and Leslie Kelly, Samantha and Allison Farmer, Makayla, Matthew and Tanner Neil. Sisters, Nikki Bernaldes and Teresa Ballard of North Carolina and Nevada Peery of Colorada. Brothers, Randy Laudermilk of VA and Jim Peery of Florida. Uncle, John Peery of WV and Aunt and Uncle Patty and Wayland Laudermilk of VA. Step-mother, Mary Peery and children Mike, Kevin, and Robert Landwehr and Karen Luersman of Ohio and two nieces and two nephews. Her special four legged companions, Bo, Rocky and Prissy. Her caregivers: Hospice Compassus, Carol Clark, Debbie Streeby, Gene and Mary Malone and our Union St. neighbors. Our beautiful Tammy had a smile that could light up a room and a heart big enough to find good in everyone. She was always there for anyone needing help. She loved Gospel Music, Broadway plays, traveling, reading and spending time with her family. She watched fighter jets fly thru the air at Andrews Air Force Base, walked inside the Statue of Liberty, and took pictures from on top of the Empire State Building. LOTS OF PICTURES. To Carol Clark, Debbie Streeby, Gene and Mary Malone and our Union St. neighbors, our gratitude for all you’ve done to assist us since Tammy’s Illness Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 28th at 1:00 PM at the Cravens and Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with the Rev. James J Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Pallbearers will be Anthony Kelly, Matthew Neal, Jackie Spaulding, Roy Spaulding, Darren Kelley, Jerry Perkins, Joseph Green, Randy Laudermilk and Billy Myers. Friends may call Wednesday July 27th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
