Vida Mae Dunford

Vida Mae Dunford 82 of P.O. Box 73 Montcalm, West Virginia passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at her home. Born on October 15, 1928 in McDowell County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Noland. She was a resident of Montcalm for the past 50 years and was a member of the Deliverance Temple Church in Brushfork. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James E. “Jim” Dunford. Survivors: Son: Frederick E. Dunford of Montcalm Daughters: Mary Miles and husband James of Montcalm Janie Lawrence and husband Michael of Kansas City, MO 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. David Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Her grandsons will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
