John William “Billy” Adkins, Loving Daddy and Pappaw, age 54, of 151 Caboose Circle Lot 18, Princeton, WV, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at his residence after battling a long illness. Born on August 23, 1956 in Dayton, OH, he was a son of the late Johnny W. Adkins, Sr. and Betty St. John Adkins. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include: Loving wife and caretaker for 31 years: Betty L. Mullins Adkins of the home Sons: Curtis and John Adkins of the home Daughters: Cristy Adkins of the home Jennifer Collins and husband Darrell of Princeton 3 beautiful granddaughters who were the apples of his eyes and he always called them papaws angels: Laura Lane, Deanna Lane, and Shalei Lane (Nikki) of the home Special friend: Brandi Stroupe, who he loved as his own and her sons, Steven and Bryson Cox of Havaco Brothers: Jeffery Adkins and Freddy Adkins of NC Sisters: Lisa Mullins and husband Charlie of NC Kathy of NC Darlene of OH Friends may call Friday, July 1, 2011 from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. After his visitation, his wishes will be honored and cremation will follow.
