Alice Lambert

Alice Laura Larue Lambert, age 86, of Route 1 (Littlesburg Road), Bluefield, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at her home. Born on April 20, 1925 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late James and Nellie Larue. She had been a lifelong resident of Mercer County and had lived on Littlesburg Road for over 60 years. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed flea markets. They were a special hobby and she enjoyed going to them. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Lambert; a daughter, Joyce Lambert; 3 sisters, Sally Pitzer, Jannie Larue and Ruth Lambert; and 4 brothers, Grover, Arthor, Fred, and James Larue. Survivors include: Husband: Clarence E. Lambert of the home Son: Ralph Lambert of Rocky Gap, VA Daughter: Judy Case of Radford, VA Brother: Clarence Larue of Princeton 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Danny Gunnoe officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
