Thomas Floyd Underwood, Sr., age 72, of P.O. Box 63, Matoaka, WV died on Monday June 20, 2011 at his home.
Born on August 9, 1939 in Springton, WV, he was a son of the late William and Madeline Bowling Underwood. He had lived in Matoaka most of his life. He was a US veteran having served in the US Marine Corps. He was a retired truck driver for Overnite Transport. He was a member of the Independent Bible Church of God. He loved talking on the CB radio and was known as “Outlaw” and sometimes “12 gauge”. He loved fishing and spending time in God’s great outdoors.

Grandchildren: Cassandra, Chrissy, Thomas, III, James, Ashley, Tracy, Jr., Jamie, Shannon, Steven, Brett, Kyle, Kelly Ann, Brennon, Brandon, Kayla, William (J.R.) and Seth Matthew.
Great-Grandchildren: Brianca, Alerabella, Luke, Lilly Ann, Andrew, Hannah, Matthew, Thomas, IV, Logan, McKinsey, Andrew, Jr., Kylei,and Aubree.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 4:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Thomas F. Underwood, II officiating. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
