Shelva Jean Bailey Lusk, age 74, of Route 2 Box 590 (Montcalm),Rock, WV, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at her home. She leaves behind 7 children, 14 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren to cherish her memory. Jean made many friends working in retail. She also had worked at the Bluefield Sanitarium and GlenWood Park Nursing Home. She was an active member of the Moose of Bluefield Chapter 565 where she held all officer positions including Academy of Friendship, Star Recorder, and College of Regents, and the highest degree held in a chapter. She had been a member of 29 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred (Hoot Owl) Lusk and one son Michael; her parents, Charlie and Claudine Thompson Bailey; two brothers, Charles “Buddy” Bailey and Marvin Bailey; one sister and brother in law, Betty and Randall Walton. Survivors include: 2 sons: Curtis Lusk and Carol Flannigan of Princeton Rodney Lusk and Rhonda Mullens of Montcalm 5 daughters: Claudine Shrader and a loving son in law Nathan of Montcalm Debbie Evans and Allen Green of Bluefield Rita White of Bluefield Betty Meadows and husband Gary of Bluefield Sherrie Conley of Bluefield Grandchildren: Curtis D. Lusk, Chris Lusk, Casey Lusk, Heather Meredith, Jeanne Shrader, Carie Kirby, Jeffrey Evans, Samantha Lusk, Rena Lambert, Stacy Neel, Ashley Shrader, Amanda, Christina and Jonathan Conley Great grandchildren: Jarrod, Lailone, Landon, Madison, Andrew, Trey, Allison, Austin, Jared, Logan, Caitlynne, Brieanna, Xavier, James and Joseph 3 brothers: Ronald Bailey and wife Wanda of Montcalm James Bailey and wife Barbara of Braidwood, IL Ray Bailey and wife Chris of Braidwood, IL 2 sisters: Joyce Noland of Princeton Connie Riggs and husband Daniel of Morris, IL 1 sister in law: Carolyn Bailey of Sandlick Best friends: Anna Bennett, Elaine Sult, Lorann Morgan Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Eddie Mabe officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Curtis Dawayne Lusk, Casey Lusk, Jeffrey Evans, Nathan Shrader, Michael Meredith, and Allen Green serving as pallbearers.
