Veneva “Joyce” Hamilton Sexton, age 65, of Cheesy Creek Road, Princeton, WV died on Monday, June 6, 2011 at Princeton Community Hospital after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
Born on September 26, 1945 in York, Alabama she was a daughter of the late Cleveland and Treva R. Lindsey Hamilton. She worked as an X-Ray Technician for 42 years in Hanford, CA, Kingsville, TX and most recently for F. P. Neri, Jr. at Prime Care 12 in Princeton. Joyce was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all with whom she came into contact. She was a devout Christian and member of the Saxon Memorial Church of the Nazarene in Houston, MS. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, EWilda Ruth “Tootsie” Morris.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Doug Hyndrich officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where her family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
