Anawalt- Lillian Kanora Johnson, 94 of Anawalt, WV, passed away June 1, 2011 at her home. Born May 14, 1917 in Charleston, WV, she was a daughter of the late Isom and Myrtle Anders Parks. Mrs Johnson was of the Holiness faith and had been a resident of the Anawalt area for 60 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Roy Johnson, four sons; Frank Parks, Eugene Johnson, Bobby Joe Johnson, and Roy Ronald Johnson; two brothers, Garnet Parks and Dan Parks, and several half sisters. Survivors include; three sons, Claude Johnson of Anawalt, WV, Kenneth Johnson, of Christiansburg, VA, Jimmy Johnson of Roanoke, VA; six daughters, Gloria Anders of Thrope, WV, Jean Johnson of the home, Joyce Church of Anawalt, WV, Dorothy Johnson of the home, Mary Ackerman of Green Town, PA, and Ellen Sanson of Christiansburg, VA, twenty- four grandchildren, thirty-one great- grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Johnson will be conducted Saturday June 4, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. from the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Thompson officiating. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Gary Church, Emmett Sanson, Rocky Sanson, Claude S. Johnson, Gary Church, Jr., and Jonathan Bowden. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery located in Bluewell. Friends may call at the Cravens- Shires Funeral Home Friday June 3, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
