ANAWALT, WV ---Thomas Edward Davis, age 59, of Anawalt Ridge Road, Anawalt, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 30, 2011 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born on January 5, 1952 in Crosier Hollow, he was a son of Mildred Farmer Davis of Anawalt and the late Eddie M. Davis. He had lived in Anawalt his entire life and was a coal miner and was a UMWA member. He attended the Leckie Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Mack Davis, Jr.; grandparents, Opal and Worth Farmer; and brother-in-law, Harold “Butch” Johnson. Survivors in addition to his mother include: Wife: Alice Faye Sargent Davis of the home Sons: Jerry Davis and wife Cindy of Anawalt Mack Davis of Anawalt Thomas Keesee of North Carolina Billy Keesee and wife Jenny of Ohio Daughters: Samantha Robinette and husband J.B. of Welch Helen Keesee of New York Barbara Clause and husband Joe of New York Sisters: Charlene Forrest and husband Kenneth of Anawalt Pat “Alene” Johnson of Chilhowie, VA 18 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews Special niece: Michelle Lambert Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Cecil Watkins, Pastor Mary Lambert, and J.B. Robinette officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park where his family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Friday morning from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service. The family is accepting online condolences at www.cravens-shires.com. The Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
