Roy Thomas “Tommy” Lambert passed away at his home on East Wayne Street Bluefield, West Virginia on Thursday evening, May 12, 2011. Tommy was born on April 10, 1947 in Bluefield, West Virginia to the late Emmett and Ora Beatrice Townley Lambert. Tommy was an accomplished carpenter and his work is still being appreciated in many Bluefield homes. Tommy enjoyed the outdoors and riding his four-wheeler. He loved his family, friends and the “Belcher’s Camp.”
He was welcomed into the home of Clara and the late Charles “Tate” Edwards many years ago, and was shown unconditional love. Their loving family was his also.
Tommy is survived by a son, Roy Thomas Lambert, Jr.; brother Frank and Charles Lambert of Bluefield, West Virginia; sister Sharon and husband Ray Chaney of Mill Creek, West Virginia; sister Phyllis and husband Steve Prout of Bluefield, Virginia. As well as several nephews, nieces and many friends who will take comfort in knowing that Tommy made peace with God before leaving us.
In keeping with Tommy’s wishes he will be cremated and no memorial service will be held.
In Tommy’s honor we ask you to recall a time when Tommy brought Joy to your life. Also know that today unfolds a whole new day of living in GODS love.
The family takes solace in remembering the 64th birthday party Clara surprised him with on a beautiful Sunday afternoon with family and friends.
