Ramona Carol Muncy

Ramona Carol Muncy, age 80, of 2332 Pisgah Road, Princeton, and formerly of McDowell County, passed away at Bailey’s Elder Care in Princeton on Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Born on April 9, 1931 in McDowell County, she was a daughter of the late Sherfield and Tish Sparks. She had been a resident of Princeton for 25 years and was of the Methodist faith. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Muncy; two sons, Johnny Ray and Bobby Lee Muncy; two brothers, Jack and Herman Sparks; and one sister, Helen Mazune. Survivors include: 1 son: Charles Muncy and wife Suzanne of Princeton 2 daughters: Janice Scherman of Enon, OH Teresa Muncy of WV 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren 3 brothers: Buddy Sparks of TN Richard Sparks of Myrtle Beach, SC Tommy Sparks of Myrtle Beach, SC 1 sister: Margaret Parks of Keystone Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Michael Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
