Alice Mae Sells

Alice Mae Sells, age 90, of Floyd, VA and forermly of Maybeury, departed this life on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at a Stuart, VA assisted living center. Born on February 10, 1921 in Anawalt, she was a daughter of the late Dora Knuckles. She was formerly employed at Sharpe Shoes in Northfork in her younger years and later worked at Warden’s Market in Bluewell. Above all else, Mrs. Sells was a loving mother and grandmother and to know her was to love her. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Lee Sells; four sons, Billy Lee, Donald Pat, Jackie Ray, and Robert Leon Sells; and one daughter, Joyce Ann Nave. Left to cherish her memories is her: Daughter: Carol Faulkner and husband Robert of Floyd, VA Ten grandchildren: Jackie Lambert and husband Otis of Brushfork Sherrie Rovnan and husband Mike of Ellicott City, MD Rodney Sells of Logan Dr. Kenneth Sells and wife Kathy of Logan Robert Nave, Jr. and wife Marian of Centerville, MD Paul Faulkner and wife Senora of Floyd, VA Misty Flinchum and husband Mark of Cooper Hill, VA Tara Underwood and husband Jason Indian Valley, VA Traci Nicewander and husband Todd of Bluewell Tonya Wilson of Myrtle Beach, SC Son in law: Robert Nave of Ellicott City, MD Daughter in laws: Clara Sells of Princeton and Catherine Weir of Morristown, NJ 21 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Minister Harold Goins officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Jason Underwood, Mark Flinchum, Richard Faulkner, Jay Sabo, Roger Davidson and Kenneth Davidson serving as pallbearers.
