Roger L. Chandler

Roger L. Chandler Sr. 75 of P.O. Box 715 Princeton, West Virginia (State Rt. 123) passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, WV. Roger was born on July 11, 1935 in Bluefield to the late James and Virginia Sheppard Chandler. In addition to his parents Roger was preceded in death by his step mother Rachel Chandler and one brother James (Pete) Chandler. He was a loving husband, loving father, grandfather and Friend. He never met a stranger and loved everyone he came in contact with. Roger spent his career as a truck driver. He drove everything from a bike with two wheels to an eighteen wheeler. Left to cherish his memory is: His wife Janice Nichols Chandler of the home Daughter: Jenny Genbka and husband Pete of Elyria, Ohio Son: Roger L. Chandler Jr. and wife Patty of Sheffield Lake, Ohio Daughter: Cindy Hager and partner Aaron Robertson of Princeton, West Virginia Son: Roger Wayne Chandler of Bluefield, West Virginia Daughter: Mona Whitteker and husband Steve of Montcalm, West Virginia Nine Grandchildren and Nine Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Granddaughter Two special little ones Cuddles and Bella. Friends and family may call at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia on Monday, May 02, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held for Roger on Monday, May 02, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia with the Rev. Gary Pennington and Rev. Jim Drake officiating the service.
