Wilford Lester Harvey 74 of Lorton Lick Road Bluefield, West Virginia passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, West Virginia. Mr. Harvey was born on August 03, 1936 in McComas, West Virginia to the late Dayton Elmore Harvey and Goldie Walker Harvey. Wilford was retired (MRCS) from the US Navy with 20 years’ service. After his retirement from the Navy he worked at Mercer County Vo-tech as a Machine Shop Instructor then for Console Energy in the Central Shop as well as for LBJ Machine Shop. He had been a resident of Bluefield, West Virginia for the past 37 years and attended Pine Grove Church of Christ. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers Randall, Darel, Frankie and Johnny Harvey Survivors Include: Wife: Lorene Kirk Harvey of the Home One daughter: Donna Black and husband Larry of Bluefield, West Virginia Three Sons: Richard Harvey and wife Dianna of Bluefield, West Virginia Frankie Harvey of Sevierville, Tennessee Jeffrey Harvey and wife Melanie of Shady Springs, West Virginia One Sister: Elizabeth Mae Young and husband Robert of Mt. Dora, North Carolina Grandchildren: Chris Brady, Laura Black Hudgins, Mathew Black, Robert Black, Jeanne Harvey Kotowski, Jessica Harvey, Brandon Harvey, Chelsey Harvey, Nicholas Harvey and Step-Grandson Shannon Wilson. Great Grandchildren: Trinity Kotowski, Audrey Kotowski, Kara Kotowski, Madyson Hudgins and Maximus Hudgins. Step-Great Grandchildren: Dakota Wilson, Chlole Wilson and Hunter Brady Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia with the Pastor Randy Thieman and Pastor Gary Lamie officiating the service. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Princeton, West Virginia where The West Virginia Honor Guard will conduct Military Cryptside Rites and Taps will be performed by Rev. David Hall. Grandsons will be pallbearers.
