Mary Williams Shaw

Mary Williams Shaw, age 87, of 510 Gayle Street, Princeton, WV died on Tuesday April 5, 2011 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born on November 13, 1923 in Switchback, WV, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lula Payne Williams. She had lived in Princeton for the past 43 years and was a member of the Fairview Christian Community Church. She was a 1941 graduate of Elkhorn High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond “Wesley” Shaw; a son, Jesse Raymond Shaw; 2 sisters; and 4 brothers. Survivors: Son: Michael Shaw and wife Betsy of Bluefield, WV Brother: George Williams and wife Agnes of Bluewell, WV Niece: Delora Bowling of Princeton, WV 5 grandchildren: Mike Shaw, Jr. and wife Ashley of Princeton, WV Matthew Shaw of Princeton, WV Andrew, Allison, and Ashton Shaw of Bluefield, WV 2 great-grandchildren: Bryson and Brystol Shaw of Princeton, WV Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Larry Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Her friends and family will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
