Arie Rose Jennings

Arie Rose (Polly) Jennings, age 8, of Route 2 Box 300, Rock, WV, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at a Bluefield hospital. Born on June 13, 1942 in Wytheville, VA, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Kegley Corvin. She had been a resident of Rock for 35 years and attended the New Vision Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Survivors include: Husband of 51 years: Walter “Junior” Jennings of the home 5 children: Robin and Tim Ward of SC Rickey and Darlene Jennings of Windmill Gap Walter (Tiny) and Christine Jennings of Windmill Gap James (Ernie) and Shelia Jennings of Crystal Leona and David Hurley of McComas 19 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren 1 brother: Dan Corvin of Jopin, MD 1 sister: Sue Harless of MD Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 2:30 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Patrick Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow at the Jennings-Gross Cemetery in Matoaka with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
