Our beloved mother and grandmother, Beulah Mae Barber, age 87, of Route 1 Box 138-D, Bluefield, WV, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 29, 2011.
Born on November 9, 1923 in Vivian, she was the daughter of the late James J. and Ollie Nixon Gravely. She had lived a number of years in Crumpler with her late husband of 45 years, Albert W. barber. She moved to Bluefield in 1986 and for the last 3 years resided at the Princeton Health Care. She was a member of the Crumpler and later the Brushfork First Church of God.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

Her most cherished blessings from God are her grandchildren: Melvyn (Amy) Barber, Brian (Beverly) Walker, Lamont (Angie) Barber Thomas (Kirstine) Barber, Catherine (Branden) Wells; and great grandchildren, Krystal (Michael) Ford, Matthew (Jeanie) Barber, Stephanie Barber, Tiffany Walker, Cody Walker, Daniel Walker, and Justin Barber; and great-great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Michael Ford.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Jimmie Russ and Rev. George Johnston officiating. Burial will follow at the Lilly Cemetery in Ghent, WV with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
