Edna Frances Ratcliff

Edna Frances Ratcliff, age 87, of 1912 Tazewell Avenue, Bluefield, VA, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at a Bluefield hospital. Born on January 2, 1924 in Boissevain, VA, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Mary Yates Spangler. She had been a resident of Bluefield, VA for 11 years and was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Edward Day; her second husband, Ondis Ratcliff; four brothers, James, Donald, Leonard and Garnett; and two sisters, Dorothy Raisovich and Edna Hardy. Survivors include: 2 daughters: Mary Ann Sizemore and husband Bruce of Tazewell, VA Evelyn Wright and husband Clyne of North Tazewell, VA 4 grandchildren: Kevin Wright and wife Yvonne of Kernersville, NC Jason E. Wright of Princeton Leslie Suzanne Sizemore of Charlotte, NC Wendy Nicole Taylor and husband Scott of Greenup, KY 4 great grandchildren: Ariel Stephanie Wright and Kevin Nathaniel Wright of Kernersville, NC Jacob and Aaron Taylor of Greenup, KY Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA with Rev. Steve Umberger officiating. Burial will follow with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at the service time.
