Julia Barrett

Julia Sheppet Barrett, age 87, of Bluewell, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Maples in Bluefield.   Born on June 16, 1923 in McComas, she was a daughter of the late Techlo (Tilly) and Peter Sheppet. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ann Steele and Helen Vrable; and a brother, Andrew Sheppet. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Orthodox Church in Bluefield.   Survivors include: 1 son:    James Barrett and wife Claudia of Bluewell   Sisters: Shirley Massaroni of Tarma Heights, OH                 Deloris (Bubbles) Boice and husband Leslie of Ormond Beach, FL                 Grandson:           Blane Davis and wife Pam of Williamsburg, VA   3 great grandchildren   Special niece:     Donna Carver and husband Pete of Bluefield, VA   Several other nieces and nephews   Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Father Mark Tyson of the St. Mary’s Orthodox Church in Bluefield officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.   Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
