Hubert Wilson Workman, age 37, of 595 Hinton Road, Athens,
WV, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 1:00 PM at his home.
Born on April 13, 1973 in Bluefield, he was a son of Virginia
Workman Lawrence of Athens. He worked for Tri-State Sealing. Those who knew
Hubert know that he always had a big smile on his face, loved Nascar, WVU
Football, children and motorcycles. He enjoyed watching Tonmy Stewart race on
Sunday’s. He also enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and the time
he he had with his stepson who called him Daddy. He lived by the quote “You can
live doing the speed limit, but you are alive at top speed.” He will be missed
by many but never forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cristy Workman;
grandparents, Hubert and Emma Workman, an aunt, uncle and cousin.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 24,
2011 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev.
Harold Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in
Bluewell with Jimmy Lawrence, Robert Lawrence, Stacy Lester, Barry Hindre, II,
Dennis Hanshaw and Larry Cordle serving as pallbearers. James Workman, Jr.,
Willie Pennington, and Brad Lester will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral
home.
