Vaynette Vera Vaselaros

Vaynette Vera Vaselaros, age 89, of 5831 Airport Road, Bluefield, WV passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Tazewell, VA. Born on January 20, 1922 in Blackberry City, WV, she was a daughter of the late Sam McFarland and Cora McCoy McFarland. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was a retired teacher from both McDowell and Mercer Counties, and had also taught at the WV Business College. She also formerly worked at Bluefield State College as a secretary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters. Survivors include: Son: Sam Vaselaros of Bluefield 1 granddaughter: Angela Vaselaros of Roanoke, VA 2 sisters: Polly Parker of Greenville, WV Ida Rose of Dunlap, TN Several nieces and nephews Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. W. D. Hasty officiating. Burial will follow at Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Bluefield, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Saturday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
