Barbara Ann Miller, age 58, of Anawalt, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at her home. Born on July 5, 1952 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late Edward Blevins Thore and Betty Jean Johnson Thore. She attended the Billy Sunday Church on Peel Chestnut Mountain. Barbara always put others before herself. Her conversations, when talking to others, were always about her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger Thore, Donald Thore and William Thore; and one sister, Debbie Bolen. She is survived by her: Husband of forty years: Roger Miller, Sr. of the home 2 daughters: Leeann Evans and husband Terry of Skygusty Dorothy Hylton and husband Dave of Princeton Son: Roger Miller, Jr. of San Francisco, CA Three grandchildren who were her life: Tyler Matthew Evans of Skygusty Austin Michael Cameron and Addison Grace Hylton of Princeton Brother: James Thore of Kearneysville, WV Sisters: Linda Coleman and husband Tommy of Woodbridge, VA Patricia Shoun and husband Doug of Kearneysville, WV Sisters in law: Dorothy Cunningham of Warrenton, VA Mildred Penland of Jenkinjones, WV Cathy Hodel of St. Charles, MO Brother in law: Joseph Miller of Princeton Special niece: Pamela Conley of Warrenton, VA Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Curtis Honaker officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where Terry Evans, Tyler Evans, Dave Hylton, Roger Miller, Jr., Scotty Chapman, Jerry Stepp, and Glen Shoun will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Saturday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences will be accepted at www.cravens-shires.com Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell is serving the family.
