Anthony “Ankie” Eugene Clower, age 58, of PO Box 722, Montcalm, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011 at his home. Born on June 11, 1952 in Montcalm he was a son of the late Richard Cecil and Rosie Belle Dunford Clower. He had been a resident of Montcalm for all of his life. He was a self employed tow truck operator. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Basil and Ryland Clower, two sisters, Judith and Sissy Clower, and one granddaughter, Jessica Mastin Survivors include: Wife: Myrtle Hudgins Clower of the home Son: Anthony Adam Clower of Montcalm Daughters: Heather Clower-LaRue of Bluefield Candida Clower and Danny Mastin of Ladysmith, VA Six granddaughters: Raven LaRue, Lymebrietta LaRue, Alexis Clower Hailei Mastin, Brittany Kowaleski, and Makayla Hale 2 grandsons: Christopher Clower and Shelton Clower 1 great grandson: Dustin Adam Eugene Clower 5 brothers: James and Judy Clower of Martinsville, VA Jerry L. Clower, Sr. of Montcalm Harold and Darleen Clower of Myrtle Beach, SC Jackie and Rose Clower of Smithville, NC Verlin and Jessica Clower of Montcalm 6 sisters: Carol and Donnie Bailey of Coaldale Hazel Clower of Anderson, SC Reeda Kline of Anderson, SC Wanda and Danny Bond of Roanoke, VA Sandy and Joe Dedman of LaGrange, KY Patricia and Larry Morrow of Greer, SC Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Mike Gibson and Rev. Cecil Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Richard Pruett, Aaron Pruett, Brad Woolridge, Tony Bond, Danny Mastin, Jeffery Belcher, Jonathan Poore, Ray Jennings, and Walter Willis serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences will be accepted at www.cravens-shires.com Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell is serving the family.
